Pittman Center is situated in Emerts Cove, a broad valley along the Middle Fork of the Little Pigeon River. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park borders Pittman Center on its south side.
Although the area is not large and has a small population, it is desirable as a quiet retreat with a great natural environment.
Conveniently located near the National Park as well as shopping, entertainment, and the dining venues of Sevier County. All the services and amenities of Gatlinburg are available within a very short drive.
Pittman Center is located mostly on TN 416 which connects to US 321 near Gatlinburg to US 411 near Sevierville.
Pittman Center is served by the Sevier County School System. K-8 children are served at Pittman Center Elementary School and high school students attend Gatlinburg-Pittman High School.
Walters State Community College has outstanding facilities in nearby Sevierville. Numerous colleges, including the University of Tennessee, are available in Knoxville with an approximate one hour drive.
Pittman Center is served by modern medical centers, hospitals, and facilities in Knoxville as well as the Leconte Medical Center located nearby in Sevierville.
